Dr. Marius Regin

Marius Regin graduated in Biomedical Sciences at the VUB in june 2018 with great distinction. During his master thesis at REGE he validated and implemented simultaneous genomic and transcriptomic sequencing of single human embryonic stem cells. Immediately after obtaining his master degree he started his PhD project under supervision of Prof. Sermon and Prof. Spits on the mechanisms of cell fate decisions in human preimplantation embryos. In november 2019 he was awarded a highly competitive fellowship for fundamental research of the Fonds voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (FWO) Vlaanderen. From september 2020 on he started to finish his Bachelor and Master of Medicine at the Medical school of the VUB.

Currently he is working as medical writer and illustrator for the research group Genetics, Reproduction and Development (GRAD).
