Biography
Hamide Yildirim graduated in Biomedical Sciences at the VUB. For her master thesis she studied the effect of NTBC on the neurocognitive performance of hereditary tyrosinemia type 1 mice. In December 2019, she started with her PhD under the guidance of Prof. Jansen, Prof. Stouffs, Prof. Sermon and Dr. Alexander Gheldof. Her project will focus on the functional analysis of (new) genes selected from whole exome sequencing studies in patients with malformations of cortical development.
